Acts ~ The Grace Between

Acts

Reading in Acts today. Focusing on birth of the early church. Reading and re-reading chapters 1 and 2. (For a bible study, lets be honest, I am not super self-motivating these days. I need accountability.) Specifically Acts 2:44-47.
Now all who believed were together, and all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.  ~ Acts 2:44-47.
I so want to view my possessions, my time, my heart, my faith, as a commodity to be shared as anyone has need. As anyone has need. That phrase pierced my heart today–literally stopped my breath for a moment. Look at the results! And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.   Servant evangelism. Grace in community.

Take my fish and loaves, Lord, but first, help me to give it.
