Wee Man’s Baptism …. photos.

38 And Peter said to them, BJ)”>“Repent and BK)”>be baptized every one of you BL)”>in the name of Jesus Christ BM)”>for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive BN)”>the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For BO)”>the promise is for you and BP)”>for your children and for all BQ)”>who are far off, everyone BR)”>whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”
Acts 2:38-39.

For us, as I suspect it is for many, the visible body of Christ goes far beyond the local church we attend. We have been richly blessed with churches who love us well, but inevitably we say goodbye far sooner than we ever want or expect …. sad to leave those we love, but excited, too, about who God has for us ahead.

We are thankful for the community of Oak Hills (KS), who know the Wee Man, who love him and snuggle him and bless us.

For Shannon Park Baptist (AK), for Providence PCA (NC), who carried me through dark, dark days. For Westminster Presbyterian Church (GA), who physically put their arms around the J Girl when we couldn’t. For Westwood PCA (AL) who nurtured our budding relationship and modeled Christ as our marriage took root.

So when we baptize our wee ones, claiming the covenant promises God has made to us and our children, it is a sweet sip from the cup overflowing …. knowing that the Body stretches across the world, standing with us to raise our babes in the nurture and admonition of the church.

Receiving the charge ….

Praying Ephesians 3:16-19 for the Wee Man and our J Girl.

Reaching out towards Wee Man while we sing Jesus Loves Me.

Being a parent scares me to death …. so thankful for the grace provided, the promises provided for my   sweet littles.

P.S. Video coming soon …. our families are scattered all over and couldn’t physically be there. Missed you all ….
