Psalm 62

September 9, 2013

It’s been eleven-ish days since I’ve written anything and my fingers are itching and my thoughts are feverish and there is never not ONE second where someone doesn’t need me … physically, emotionally, spiritually.

I feel used up.

{And yes, there are treasures even in the needing, in the three small ones who are mine to love, and a handsome Soldier-Husband who fights for us …. but still the days are long and full of tears and toddler tantrums, and neglected six year olds and this momma is exhausted and raw.}

And it won’t get easier …

So tonight, while I am scribbling down the words leaking out of my heart and soul, may I leave you with this, the Truth that sustains me. This day and everyday.

“Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
    my hope comes from Him.
 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
    He is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
 My salvation and my honor depend on God;
    He is my mighty rock, my refuge.
Trust in Him at all times, you people;
    pour out your hearts to Him,
    for God is our refuge.” ~ Psalm 62:5-8

Manna for a tired momma.

~M.

UPDATE: Seems I have written about this before … oh well. More Truth never hurt anybody.

More about Molly Huggins

I am an unrepentant extrovert with an ongoing, passionate affair with coffee, ellipses, and the written word. I write because it’s how I’m made to worship. I am a story teller, because redemption has a story to tell. And always, I want to be a story collector. So have a virtual seat at my beat-up kitchen table. Read my story. Tell me yours. Stay awhile. 1. We all need to be reminded of this Psalms if we believe. Life in general is hard and it is great to know that we have a Savior to lean on. Praying for you Molly and your family.

I love to hear from you!
