So I put up my decorations on or around November 18. Don’t judge me.
Usually I am a vocal critic of Christmas Creep. People. Seriously. Wait until after Thanksgiving. Except for me, this year.
But you know what? I was bored and alone, and knew I wouldn’t be around much to enjoy them during the actual month of December. {BECAUSE I LIVE IN DRIVING DISTANCE OF FAMILY!!!} Hasn’t happened much over the past six years.
And truthfully, this thanksgiving, I am all gratitude for an infant King. A Heavenly Father that names and counts the stars, and knows even my very steps.
And He has plans for me, plans that include Hope. And a future.
So I will be of good courage this holiday season. The empty chair looms large for me in a way it never has before. But I will quell the fear that bubbles up and cherish every whispered conversation from half a world away, Husband living life a half a day ahead.
I will count my blessings this day and everyday.
Happy End of Thanksgiving weekend y’all. And MERRY CHRISTMAS.
Enjoy the pictures.
LOVE your decorations. Praying for you and your babies!
Mmmm, this brought smiles to my face this morning. Thanks!
Beautiful pictures!! I love the star decoration on your mantle. Is it from Willow Tree?
It sure is. I acquired that nativity scene piece by piece SLOWLY. It is not so cheap!
